Old Toronto 04:27
Stranded for days in South Dakota Thirsty starvin low on ammo We shot 5 men in Old Toronto Buggin out from South Etobicoke Starry nights and flashing lights And the way the water catches waves of fire Starry night And firefights And the concrete altars broken rubbled wire Got our second wind in Oklahoma That new dust bowl gave our story life We left our lives in Old Toronto Cause there was nothing there for us anymore Starry nights and flashing lights And the way the water catches waves of fire Starry night And firefights And the concrete altars broken rubbled wire We put down stakes in San Antonio The Ford Windstar was our Alamo Shattered visions of Eldorado In the blood-stained carpet by the door Shattered visions of Old Toronto The city on a hill down by the shore

Lemonade in the shade Post-apocalyptic parade Renegade serenade Post-apocalyptic charade We heard the sound When the clocks countdown We all went downtown Then we fucked around And we joined the crowd When the plane came down The panic got loud Then we hit the ground Then we heard the sound (x2) We heard the sound (x3) Lemonade in the shade The apocalypse can wait Renegade serenade Voices shouting at the gate Lemonade in the shade While your neighbourhood's in flames Renegade serenade Voices rising with the flames------ The Flames-------- Lemonade in the shade The apocalypse can wait Renegade serenade Voices shouting at the gate Lemonade in the shade While your neighbourhood's in flames Renegade serenade Voices rising with the flames------ The Flames-------- The Flames

Golden auto mile A city in denial There's kids starting forest fires On the Golden auto mile There's people in your city who can't even feed themselves There's people in your city whose new cars can drive themselves The world before was a mask we wore The war is at your front door The world before was a mask we wore The war is at your front door Golden auto mile Flickering neon signs While the burning tires pile On the Golden auto mile There's people in your city who can't even feed themselves And people in your city whose new cars can drive themselves The world before was a mask we wore The war is at your front door The world before was a mask we wore The war is at your front door Golden auto mile The River's risin wild But it won't put out those fires On the Golden auto mile

It’s the audacity... of having something to say And the tenacity... to say it day after day It’s the capacity... to hold a thing in your heart And the capacity... to let it tear you apart We've heard this song a million times We’ve loved and lost a million lives And stretched before us endlessly The monotony of history rolls on And we go sailing on Passengers on the tide And we go flailing on Time after time time time We've danced this dance a billion times We’ve bred the sheep and fed the lions And stretched before us endlessly The monstrosity of history rolls on And we go sailing on Passengers on the tide And we go flailing on Time after time time time And we go sailing on Passengers on the tide And we go flailing on Time after time time time Time after time time time Time after time time time Time after time time time Time after time time time

The world wide web of mind control Recording over tapes of old Erasing all the stories told Replacing them with lives on hold Nirvana blares out of some speakers All the preachers gather round Hear singularity as sound Then become one with glowing ground Impossible to understand The continental drift at hand That boils the waters off Japan Til fault lines make earth lightning land Ride the Lightning No use fightin Runnin hidin Ride the Lightning Ride the Lightning Crackling Smiting Runnin hidin Ride the Lightning

We're waiting in the lineup We're waiting til our time's up The dying stops but the silence never ends Never ends Never ends The dying stops but the silence never ends I'm sorry this story is neverending I'm sorry this story is neverending I'm sorry this story is neverending I'm sorry this story is neverending We're waiting in our hideout We're waiting til it's light out The dying stops but the silence never ends We're waiting but it's time now It's time to take this thing down The dying stops but the silence never ends Never ends Never ends The dying stops but the silence never ends I'm sorry this story Never ends I'm sorry this story Never ends I'm sorry this story Never ends I'm sorry this story Never ends (differently)

Made up billionaires Do we really fuckin care? They're all castles made of sand But who doesn't love a good psyop? Sweatshop shoe's about to drop On the castles in the sand On and on, we could go on and on Or maybe just stop, on a dime The tide comes in, then when the tide goes out We could row out, or we could drown Thermobaric bombs Midnight's brighter than the dawn We're all castles made of sand Shadows burnt on walls Painted chalk of what we lost Flattened castles made of sand On and on, we could go on and on Or maybe just stop, on a dime The tide comes in, then when the tide goes out We could row out, or we could drown

Windstar 03:13
When I held your hand on the floor of the Windstar And watched you hold in your last breath I smiled at the unbroken promise That could only be kept by our deaths Whoa x4 The bullets they hit and cut and twisted Just inches from our hearts and heads I gripped and dug into the carpet Like blankets on my childhood bed The bloodstains they spread like a skyline A city I dreamt of instead We're never getting out of this Windstar mama So I'll close my eyes just to rest Singing Whoa x4 The sirens and war cries from the market Drowned out by violins in my head When one of those shots finally found me It filled me with light instead of lead Then crying became fits of laughter Excitement for some coming thing When that RPG finally found us Then both of our voices did sing Singing Mama your boys are coming home Mama your boys are coming home Mama your boys are coming home Mama your boys are coming home

about

When the world locked down, we were all stuck wondering how we were going to survive the boredom, fear and frustration of lives on pause, static striping across reality's TV screen.

Tom picked up and dusted off the guitar he hadn't touched in nearly a decade, and a couple voice memos later, an album started to emerge. That's when Ben was called in, to a studio shed in an Old South backyard, to add virtuosity to Tom's demos. When they jammed, the brothers found that the sweet release of power chords and bass solos played really really loud was an antidote to the fear. On those quiet nights under emergency orders, FANTASY FOOTBALL rocked defiantly into the abyss.

Ben's arpeggios, bass and drums were layered over Tom's vocals and acoustic foundations, songs started to grow into themselves, tracks were lost, and others found. Then finally, after once a week sessions for almost 2 years, LIGHTNING LAND was born - an ode to an era when almost everything was falling apart, but a sliver of hope that through the communion of music we could hope for better days
